🕹️ Gris
{something to play • video game • platform-adventure}
Originally released in 2018, Gris is a short (in duration) video game that caused one of the deepest impacts a game ever did on me.
Forget about complicated storylines, long cut-scenes, or boring dialogues. Here you control a young girl in a powerful journey of self-knowledge in a breathtaking world beautifully created with watercolor. The gameplay consists of solving simple puzzles in the classic 2D-platform style, with the difference that here you won’t die by jumping off from a higher level or being attacked by enemies.
Gris is a very contemplative and (at times) meditative journey through incredible set pieces where each and every frame could be a painting to be hanged on a wall.
Available on: Nintendo Switch, Android, PlayStation 4, Windows, macOS, and iOS.
🎬 Who Are You, Charlie Brown?
{something to watch • film • documentary}
Everybody knows the Peanuts gang, but how many people know much about its creator?
Who Are You, Charlie Brown? is a sweet and short documentary that follows the story of the famous comic strip, to ultimately tell the biography of Charles M. Schultz, the genius mind behind it. It alternates between interviews with family and friends, scenes of Schultz himself, and a full animated short story where Charlie Brown is looking for his purpose in life.
Without giving any spoilers, I must say that I wasn’t expecting to be affected so much by the ending.
📬 Plan Your Next
{something to read • newsletter}
By hosting a weekly newsletter mastermind group, Nate Kadlac has been one of the key figures and a big influence in my journey from the beginning, and his own newsletter continues to be a great source of inspiration every week.
Plan Your Next, in Nate’s own words, “is a Newsletter that connects design, creativity, and how you prepare for your next thing”. But forget about all the self-help content you see out there. What you’ll find here instead is lots of relatable stories from his own experiences, always summarized by a thought-provoking illustration done by himself.
Some of my favorite issues include “Why Minimalist is Boring”, “Reach Out to Your Heroes”, and “Playing The Long Game”.
🔀 On a different note:

💽 New Music
{something to listen to • albums & singles}
This week I'm particularly interested in checking the new albums from The Maine, The Wallflowers, Twin Shadow, and Vince Staples. Also, new tracks from Nothing But Thieves, Sufjan Stevens, Rubel, Rodrigo Amarante, Billie Eilish, and many more. If you’re curious to hear some of these songs and more, make sure to follow my 2021 playlist on Spotify, updated weekly with new releases:
