💽 » Quando Tudo Era Novo, by STRR

electronic • 9 songs • 24 minutes

Quando Tudo Era Novo (“When Everything Was New”) is the debut album from the Brazilian producer known as STRR (aka Mateus Estrela), following his mixtape EP Instante from 2020. For his first full-length release, he brings us 9 songs across only 24 minutes that run so smoothly that will have you starting all over without thinking twice. The tracks wander around the universe of genres like future bass, pop, and glitch hop, but all in a super accessible way perfect for both enthusiasts and newcomers. And even though you’ll hear traces of vocals here and there, Quando Tudo Era Novo is essentially an instrumental record that also works great to have on your headphones for when you need some focus.

🎶 » Atopos, by Björk

5 years since her last studio album, the one and only Björk is back with a new single called Atopos, which introduces us to her upcoming album Fossora, to be released already on September 30th. Björk is an artist who is almost impossible to describe her music, and this new track might not be the easiest one to start with if you’re not familiar, but if you already appreciate her music, it’s hard not to create high expectations for the rest of the album!

🎶 » Everything Is Gonna Be Alright, by Infinity Song

Infinity Song was completely new to be, and this recommendation came from the great newsletter The Daily Good, which described them as “a band of siblings who create acoustic sounds with an uplifting vibe”. In times of such craziness, sometimes an uplifting vibe is really all you need.

I'm happy with Björk's comeback. Everything she creates is eerie. I guess I just love her weird, stimulating videos, filled with all that björkness. And wow, 'Everything Is Gonna Be Alright' really resonated with me ✨
