Man, I said the same thing about Coldplay (liking just the first 2-3 albums) and people came after me with imaginary bayonets, lol. Old Coldplay is best Coldplay!
Also, Tony Hawk is one of the nicest people on Planet Earth. Heβs often not recognised in public and his Twitter feed has several hilarious examples of that.
Happy Sunday, Leo. See you in my comments on Monday π
Every new Coldplay album I get excited with the possibility of them being back in shape, but I always end up massively disappointed. The ending track Coloratura, from their most recent album, was SO incredible, but so misleading from the rest of the album too, unfortunately!
The new Soccer mommy record is great. I knew "Shotgun" and 1-2 other tracks she'd released ahead of the full record, but wasn't sure if it'd be good all the way through. It is. I would up enjoying it quite a bit.
I started to listen to the album a couple of times over the weekend, but for whatever reason I never made it to the end. I'll keep trying, as I'm really enjoying what I've listened so far!
You nailed it on Maroon 5. Despite being in the throes of my high school mall-punk phase, I loved that first record when it came out. "Harder to Breathe," "This Love," and "Not Coming Home" are absolute jams.
Once again youβve put together an entertains Sunday morning program . I especially liked the visual arts and music. I too like Maroon 5, especially the video on Sugar where the go from wedding to wedding surprising the new
Y weds at their parties. Makes me smile when I think how great they must feel having such an incredible surprise.

Old Coldplay is indeed best Coldplay. They were so great but lost the thread.

'Not Coming Home' is such a great track that not many people talk about!
Ooh - I dig that Florist song! Never heard of them before. Digging into the catalog today.
So good, right?? They were new to me too!

That might be the only Maroon 5 song I like; it's pop perfection (and the video is awesome too).
Really? You don't like anything from the first 2 albums? They're so good!
Let me amend that: The only song of theirs that I've heard so far.
Thank you, Brian! Sugar is definitely a fun and catchy song, with a loving music video for sure!
